It also appeals to our love of “Before & After”!
So it is with great delight that I bring you this short video, captured on the 27th of February, during a Styled Boudoir Portrait Session.
“What is a Styled Boudoir Portrait Session?”, I hear you ask!
It is a portrait session photographed with a model, and styled to showcase a particular look or idea(s).
It normally also involves a hair and make-up artist, and it can also include a stylist.
For this session I was lucky and blessed to have two amazing women join me:
Model: Lucy - This beautiful woman is an aspiring model, and was an absolute star, making my job so much easier!
Hair & Make-Up: Nancy - This super talented professional hair and make-up artist was totally dedicated to getting the best possible look for the session, and I am sure you can agree that Lucy’s looks fabulous!
The Purpose…
The purpose of a style portrait session, in any genre of photography, tends to be one and the same: To update/build/refresh a portfolio for all involved.
This was no exception on this one, for all three of us!
Having not worked with a model to create boudoir images for some years, I decided that it was high time I did this, and was lucky to be able to organise last week’s session with the invaluable help of Nancy on finding Lucy, as a model, and on having such beautiful styling done.
So now I have great images which more accurately reflect my current style of Boudoir Portraiture, and am looking forward to re-launching the Boudoir Portfolio Page on International Women’s Day!
