BOUDOIR THAT IS DEDICATED TO ELEVATING & EMPOWERING WOMEN!

I am very pleased to be offering Boudoir Portraiture, once again, from the end of October!

FOR WOMEN. BY A WOMAN.

It may appear like an obvious thing to say but the boudoir portraiture I offered in the past, and will be offering again soon, is very much woman-centered.

By that I mean that the images I produce are meant to appeal to YOU, first and foremost!

Every woman has her own reason for wanting to have this style of portrait session and I would say that, in my experience, your reason may be one of the below:

  1. For yourself - It is a great way to regaing self-confidence, to have some beautiful portraits, or it can be simply because you always wanted to have the experience of a Boudoir Portrait Session;

  2. As a gift for your partner - I came across that reason quite a lot when I photographed weddings and my brides had the Boudoir Portrait Session in order to have images to present to their partner as a wedding day gift!

    And even if you are not getting married, I have photographed many women who did present the portraits as a gift to their partner, for other special occasions.

BOUDOIR OR “GLAMOUR”? THESE ARE NOT THE SAME THING!

One of the things I discuss with my clients prior to their Boudoir Portrait Session, and which I hope can be clearly seen in my portraits, is that I do not photograph images which have become associated with “Glamour”, or called Page 3 style photos.

I produce what I like to call “fashion boudoir”!

This means a number of things:

  • No nudes or explicity images, from any angle;

  • No intimate body areas are ever on show;

  • No close up shots of intimate areas;

  • No photos which can be perceived as showing a woman being vulnerable, dominated, objectified or available.

As a photographer I find it terribly annoying that the word “glamour” is now associated with images that, as a woman, I find offensive and worrying.

Women being shown as sex objects is never ok! And there is nothing glamorous about that!

I am sure that anyone who knows me will never describe me as a staunch feminist, but I am very much “for women” in the sense that I would never portray a woman in a way which can be deemed distasteful, by herself or anyone else.

PHOTOGRAPHING YOUR BOUDOIR FROM A WOMAN’S PERSPECTIVE (OR “IF IT WAS ME”…)

I have always approached Boudoir Portrait Sessions with the idea that it should be sensual, not sexual, and this is simply because that’s what I would want if I was the one in front of the camera!

I can honestly tell you that, as a female photographer, I am ever mindful of maintaining my boudoir client’s sense of dignity during their session because they are placing their trust in me, and are in front of my camera wearing only a corset.

So you can rest assured that you are never going to be asked to pose in a way which demeans you or makes you feel uncomfortable, and that you are never being judged.

MY PROMISE TO YOU - YOUR COMFORT ZONE & PRIVACY ARE ALWAYS RESPECTED

My aim and promise to you is that I will present you to yourself as an amazing, sensual, and beautiful woman, and that you will never feel threatened or uncomfortable when we work together!

I realise that boudoir photography can leave many women feeling vulnerable, but I can honestly tell you that you will always be in complete control and will never be asked to pose in any way which is outside of your comfort zone, or unacceptable to you.

Equally important to me is that you know that your boudoir images will never be used on my website, blog or private Facebook Group unless you are 100% in agreement with it!

AND FINALLY!

Boudoir Feminine will be going live towards the end of October, when the gallery will be online! I can’t wait to share it all with you!
